    Live Music: March Fourth with opening act The Evolution Portland, Oregon-based March Fourth combines high-energy instrumental music with visual performances by stilt-walkers, acrobatics and hooping! Their music retains influences from rock, jazz, ska, hip hop and swing, along with many others, and they have performed around the world playing both original pieces and cover songs. The free Avon Live! concerts return this summer, offering ten exceptional evenings of live music...rain or shine! The Wednesday evening music series has become a tradition in the community, featuring award winning national talent, and providing a chance to gather as a Town and experience live music, fresh and local unique foods, a cold beverage, and enjoy a summer evening outside.

  2. Open Water Swim

    July 18, 2019, 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM @ Nottingham Lake

    Nottingham Lake is back and better than ever this summer! The Avon Recreation Department provides the only open water swim in the valley. It's a perfect way to train for your first (or third) outdoor triathlon. Just be sure to bring a wetsuit - the water can be chilly! Fee:$5 per person Check-in at the Avon Performance Pavilion Average water temp. is between 60 - 68 degrees, wet suits recommended Must be 15 years of age with parental release For your safety - lifeguard staff and distance buoys will be provided

  3. XTERRA Beaver Creek Triathlon

    July 20, 2019, 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM @ Nottingham Lake

    The Beaver Creek XTERRA is part of XTERRA's Regional Point Series Schedule. The race will consist of a 1 km swim in Nottingham Lake, a 25 km mountain bike ride up and around Beaver Creek and an 8 km trail run on Beaver Creek Mountain.

    The Avon Recreation Center offers free yoga on Saturdays throughout the summer with certified yoga instructors from around the Vail Valley. Start your weekend on the right foot…then the left…by stretching and energizing your whole body on the picturesque Performance Pavilion Terrace overlooking Nottingham Lake.

    What's better than practicing open water swimming in Nottingham Lake? Running a 5k when you're done! Featuring a weekly 2.4 mile swim in addition to shorter distances, Dunk N' Dash is the perfect way to train for your first (or thirtieth) triathlon. Now in its 15th season, hundreds of athletes have used this series as a launching ground for summer triathlon training. Just be sure to bring a wetsuit - the water can be chilly!
